1. Avatar
What better movie to utilise as a theme park attraction than the highest grossing movie of all time? Avatar was a sensation when it hit cinemas in 2009 and has grossed nearly £2.8 billion in total (so far, anyway). It was also a massive success upon it's re-release and the home media sales of Avatar products have also been massively successful. And the best thing about it? Disney have
already announced plans to build an entire area devoted to the wonderful world of Pandora as an extension to their Animal Kingdom park in Orlando, Florida (to open at some point in 2017). The fact that an entire land will be devoted to Avatar-themed attractions means that there will be rides and shows to cater for all ages, but a thrill-ride or simulator based on the great leonopteryx flight scenes in the movie would be incredible. Like the movie itself, a 3D aspect for such attractions would be amazing, given the astonishing aesthetics in the world of Pandora and I for one can't wait to visit Orlando again in a few years' time to try this out for myself. So there you have it; Eleven movies that would make great theme park attractions. Do you agree with this list? Which other movies would you like to see theme parks develop in to rides, shows or experiences for you to try out? Let us know in the comments box below. And please feel free to follow me on
