11 Movies Where NOBODY Survives To The End

9. The Blair Witch Project

Ah, Blair Witch. The original found footage movie that either €“ depending on your point of view €“ launched a new wave in the horror genre or condemned it to shaky-cam hell. But there's no denying the impact it had upon release, with some people believing to this very day that the footage is real. The story follows three student filmmakers making a documentary about the legend of the Blair Witch, which draws them deeper and deeper into the woods. As is horror movie tradition they soon become lost, and there are no maps (Google or paper) to help them. They follow tradition even further at the end, when they decide to explore a creepy abandoned house. Once inside they realise €“ far too late €“ that they€™re being murdered in the same fashion that serial killer Rustin Parr killed a number of children years before, with the chilling final shot revealing their grim fate. Whatever the merits of the movie might be, this hope free ending is one that stuck with people for a long time afterwards.
