11 Things You Learn Rewatching Moonraker

2. The "Re-Entry" One-Liner Is One Of Q's Best

You needn't be a hardcore Bond fan to know that most of the earlier movies conclude with 007 in a steamy clinch with a Bond girl while Q (Desmond Llewelyn) and the rest of MI6 look on in annoyance and/or amusement.

Well, Moonraker sure doesn't buck the trend, though it does at least deliver one of the most legendary one-liners in the entire history of the franchise.

Q switches on a video feed in Bond and Goodhead's shuttle as it heads back to Earth, which shows the pair in a zero-gravity tryst. When Frederick Gray (Geoffrey Keen) asks, "My God, what's Bond doing?", Q retorts, "I think he's attempting re-entry, sir."

Cringe though some might, it's a brilliant double endtendre, wrapping a rather vulgar implication around the movie's sci-fi insanity.
