11 Things You Learn Rewatching Moonraker

1. It's The Messiest, Weirdest Bond Film Ever

All things considered, Moonraker is the Bond franchise at its absolute sloppiest and most eager to throw everything it can at the screen.

It is, however, also a sublime spectacle, and accepting everything it has to offer, easily the most peculiar and dementedly off-kilter film in the entire series.

Even if you're not especially fond of it, Moonraker is certainly a good deal more interesting than the tedious likes of, say, Diamonds Are Forever.

It's trying to do something unique that no other Bond film has either before or since, and though it's fundamentally rough around the edges, it works far more than it doesn't.
