5. Daniel Radcliffe And Emma Watson Dance In Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows
Harry and Hermione are on a quest to destroy the horcruxes. They decide to take turns wearing one of them Slytherins locket, and no-o one knows why they dont just put the damn thing in Herminone's house-sized bag. So, in this scene, the Slytherin thing and of course, Ron's absence is making Hermione depressed. Harry decides to cheer her up and with Nick Cave singing in the background, he takes her hand and starts dancing with her. The scene has a very strange feel to it. It doesnt fit in well with the other scenes, and its also not part of the book. What would J.K. Rowling make of it? Yates admitted the scene wasn't choreographed well (no kidding), because he wanted it to seem spontaneous. But surely he didnt foresee Daniel Radcliffe to be so bad at dancing. Relief flows over you when halfway through the scene Hermione and Harry start slow dancing instead of the weird disco-dance-thing they were doing before. Good or bad awkward? Good awkward. Yes, Harry is a horrible dancer and the scene feels out of place. However, it's a nice little wink to the fans and its cute. Not a bad call, Mr. Yates.
