11 Ways Age Of Ultron Could Still Surprise Everyone

11. Thanos Might Make His Presence Felt

There's no sign of Josh Brolin's name on the cast lists seen so far for this movie - on neither the posters released to date or on IMDB - but that doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't have a part to play, even if it is small. Idris Elba (Heimdall) confirmed that Tom Hiddleston (Loki) has filmed scenes with him for the movie, but there was no sign of Hiddleston's name on the poster, so it's not as if every single person who is set to make a minor appearance gets listed - and that means a potential Thanos appearance should not be totally ruled out. The Mad Titan is the big bad of the franchise and it seems very unlikely that he wouldn't show his face in the biggest movie in it to date. An item he once possessed - the staff wielded by Loki in the first Avengers movie - is set to be a prominent feature in Age of Ultron and Thanos will want it back. Expect him to surprise audiences by at least being in a mid-credits or post-credits scene, having been monitoring the events of the movie from his cosmic throne.
