11 Ways Age Of Ultron Could Still Surprise Everyone
8. An Avenger Might Die
With movies like Captain America: Civil War, Thor: Ragnarok and the Infinity War movies confirmed as having pretty much all of the existing Avengers in them, it's easy to think they'll all come away from the events of Age of Ultron safe and sound. It could be a surprise, therefore, to see one of them die. The very nature of comic book superheroes means that death is very rarely permanent - especially when you look at what's coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the very near future (and just look at what happened with Phil Coulson). Thor: Ragnarok will heavily involve the Asgardian afterlife, Hel, while Doctor Strange will bring magic that could involve resurrection spells to the franchise and the Infinity War movies will bring the completed Infinity Gauntlet - an item that can accomplish literally any task, even if it seems impossible based on the laws of conventional physics, just because the wielder wills it. All of that points towards the concept of people being brought back to life being made very easy in this franchise. Thor might be killed and end up being brought back to life by Odin, any other hero might die and the Time Stone could be used to bring them back to life, or indeed one of the new Avengers - Quicksilver or Scarlet Witch, for example - could see their time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe being cut short early.
