12 Actors Who Have Basically Just Become Cartoon Characters

1. Nicolas Cage

Ah, Nicolas Cage, the most cartoonish of cartoon character actors whose credentials for the top spot of this article are unparalleled. Every performance is imbued with a maniacal glee regardless of whether the character calls for it or not. It's tempting to suggest that Cage, like Williams, should take more serious roles and remind us of his acting ability, but unlike Williams he's still undisputedly fun to watch when his eyes are popping out his head with the effort of hamming it up. It's difficult to pick a single Cage film which encapsulates his bizarre style. 1988's Vampire's Kiss is famed for the scene in which Cage runs wildly down the street shouting, "I'm a vampire! I'm a vampire!" 2006's The Wicker Man generated meme after meme. Then there's Cage's performance as Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider, where irrespective of the terrible script he delivers every line with absurd intensity. Maybe one day Cage will decide that he's had enough fun and earned enough cash to turn his hand to a nuanced performance. Until that day comes, an intrepid YouTuber has put together a film of Nicolas Cage's best moments. Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrQkgLLL9XQ
