Crime: DUI Served: 48 days Kiefer Sutherland has crafted out his own career away from the shadow of his highly-regarded father Donald. The once, once more and possible future Jack Bauer is certainly more prominent on TV than he is in film, where he usually finds himself in supporting roles, but he stands as his own star. The recent success of 24: Live Another Day shows there's still a hunger out there to see the actor on screen. Sutherland was arrested multiple times on a DUI over a period of almost two decades (arrests occurred between 1989 to 2007), with the last incident leading to a sentence of forty-eight days in prison. In something that would make ordinary prisoners riot, Sutherland was originally going to serve his sentence in multiple stretches to allow him to keep filming 24. This plan was scrapped when the writers strike led to shooting being rescheduled.
