12 Actors Who Almost Walked Off Huge Movies (And Why)
7. Carl Weathers Accused Dolph Lundgren Of Too Much Aggression - Rocky IV
The original Rocky film is still regarded as one of the greatest sports drama films of all time and won three Oscars, including Best Picture. It also made Sylvester Stallone only the third person to be nominated for both best original screenplay and best actor in the same film, alongside Charlie Chaplin and Orson Welles.
Rocky would go on to inspire several sequels that would not get the same critical success as the original, but would still be just as successful commercially. Rocky IV was certainly an example of this success, as it would make a massive $300 million from a budget of roughly $28 million.
But as surprising as it may seem in a film about professional boxing, one member of the cast would not be too happy with how rough his fellow co-star was during filming.
In his last outing as Apollo Creed, Carl Weathers squared off against Dolph Lundgren, playing Ivan Drago. But Carl would refuse to return to set after he beloved Dolph was being far too aggressive during their fight scenes. Filming was halted for four days until Stallone could convince Carl to return and finish filming the rest of his scenes.
