12 Actors Who Are About To Make A Huge Comeback
3. Brendan Fraser
When the conversation turns to actors who aren't hired anything like as frequently as they used to be, Brendan Fraser's name always crops up. For a while, a lot of misinformation was spread about his "retirement", but the actor has fairly recently cleared up the circumstances by revealing an allegation of historical sexual assault had apparently seen him blacklisted, combined with mental health issues.
But after a period of quiet and a lot of projects that look very much beneath him, Fraser could be set for a comeback off the back of strong TV work in The Affair and Trust. He's got three notable projects in the works - reincarnation drama Behind the Curtain of Night, Indian crime flick The Field and most eye-catchingly, The Poison Rose.
That crime thriller will star John Travolta and Fraser alongside a great cast also including Morgan Freeman, Famke Janssen, Peter Stormare and Robert Patrick and Fraser takes a tole previously ear-marked for Forest Whitaker. It might be something of an under-the-radar project, but it definitely has potential to lift Fraser back to consideration a little more.
