5. Sophie Turner (X-Men: Apocalypse)
Chastain wasn't the only actor who couldn't nail down an accent, though, as Game of Thrones' Sophie Turner gave an astonishingly awful turn as a young Jean Grey in the thoroughly mediocre X-Men: Apocalypse.
Ever since the movie's first trailer dropped, fans noted that Turner's American accent sounded incredibly unconvincing, and despite the movie having re-shoots before release, this wasn't fixed up one bit.
Almost every time she speaks, her accent sounds stagey and over-affected, with her distinctive British twang frequently slipping back in.
It's particularly frustrating considering that Fox clearly hired her because of Game of Thrones' popularity rather than her being right for the role, and she's probably going to be sticking around in the franchise for a while.
Her accent can always improve, but Apocalypse will always be a reminder of how bad she can be.
