12 Actors Who Did Career Worst Work In 2016

6. Jessica Chastain (The Huntsman: Winter's War)

Ben Foster Warcraft
Universal Pictures

Few are going to argue against the claim that Jessica Chastain is one of the best actresses getting consistent work in Hollywood right now, but she turned in her first indisputably bad performance this year as the Huntsman's (Chris Hemsworth) lover Sara.

Though Chastain lives up to the physical demands of the role when it comes to using a bow, her Scottish accent is undeniably awful, and it's clear that Universal didn't spend some of their $115 million budget on vocal coaches for either her or Hemsworth (whose accent is even worse, to be fair).

There's not much joy to be found here, just sadness that such a brilliant actress gave her first phoned-in, off-key performance.
