7. Keira Knightley - My Fair Lady

You might not be familiar with the movie, but back in 2008, Keira Knightley revealed that singing while drunk helped her smash her audition for the Danny Boyle remake of My Fair Lady that was written by Emma Thompson. You won't be familiar with that film because it was shelved some time before 2014 when Boyle dropped out.

Still, that didn't stop Knightley being cast, for which she needed some Dutch courage, if only to be able to sing in front of everyone. And she apparently aced the audition, despite admitting it had some drawbacks, not least with the slurring:

“The problem with doing it is that alcohol dehydrates you, which isn’t very helpful for singing. But they said it was alright.”

Just imagine how good she would have been if she hadn't been a bit pissed.
