11. Would You Rather?
Premise: A woman (Brittany Snow) competes in a sadistic game of Would You Rather? in order to win a cash prize.
This one has a terrific concept and looked set to be one of the best movies in the mostly weak Torture-Porn genre, but unfortunately it was (mostly) another dud.
The trouble with this one is that it's just really boring. The games are unimaginative and repetitive and it's mostly just people sitting at a table doing the same things over and over again.
Factor in the irritating twist ending and flat directing and there's very little reason to bother with this one. It is disturbing and can't be faulted for that, but thanks to the lack of a compelling script it's all just shock for shock's sake and is ultimately unpleasant without ever being enjoyable or rewarding.
