Why It's Annoying: Because as much as fanboys complain when films like Dredd and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World don't get sequels, the reason is because they probably didn't go see the original film at the cinema in the first place. Tech-savvy geeks are much more likely to torrent the movies instead, which likely explains why neither of the aforementioned films even made their relatively modest budgets back, as well as why Game of Thrones is the world's most pirated TV show. If you want these films to prosper, waiting for the Blu-ray isn't really good enough: you need to help push those opening weekend box office figures through the roof. If you're just torrenting them in particular, you're a huge part of the problem, because while downloading an Avengers sequel isn't going to make much of a dent, these smaller, more niche productions are desperate for your support.
