12 Awesome Horror Movie Monsters We Didn't Get Enough Of

As far as cave-based 2005 monster movies go, the Piper Perabo starring The Cave lands somewhere between Doomsday director Neil Marshall’s sublime The Descent, a horror masterpiece, and the execrable The Cavern, a movie so low effort they never shot an ending for it.

This sanitized Hollywood effort may have none of The Descent’s visceral brutality, but the film can boast some cool monsters, with its winged blind beasts being some of action horror’s more inventive and threatening antagonists

So, it’s a real shame that we barely even get to see them throughout this murky, over-edited flick, and must be content with the boring human drama between our samey main characters.
