12 Awesome Moments From Super Bowl 2017 Trailers

The big mystery revolving around next month's sci-fi thriller is what exactly the killer alien lifeform looks like.

Previous trailers had only shown the creature in single-cell form, but for a brief moment in the Super Bowl TV spot we can see Hiroyuki Sanada's character Sho Kendo coming face-to-face with the monster, which appears to have a large, black tentacle.

Though it's a little surprising Columbia actually revealed this in a trailer, we still don't know what the rest of the alien looks like or whether it's got any other nasty surprises for the crew (such as a buddy or two), so there's still plenty of mystery to be unraveled.
