12 Awesome Villains In Otherwise Terrible Movies
4. Lucifer - Constantine
Even more than a decade on, Constantine feels like a tragedy that should never have happened. It took one of the best comic book concepts ever written and conspired to ruin it with terrible casting, an undercooked, holey story and a fundamental misreading of its own lead character.
It's grown some affection over the years, but that doesn't distract from the fact that it's still a terrifyingly bad movie with a few redeeming factors that aren't quite pushed hard enough.
That goes especially for the perfectly-cast Peter Stormare as Lucifer, who comes across as a slimy aged rock singer, unsettling shorn of his eyebrows and decked in all white. Unfortunately, he's on-screen for way too little time and you're left wondering who signed off on such a ridiculous idea.
