4. The Human Centipede III (Final Sequence)

Nobody needed a third entry into Tom Six's inexplicable a**-to-mouth franchise, but here it is, and while it certainly pushes the bounds of taste and decency like few films dare to, the whole affair just seems too self-conscious and eager to shock for its own sake above all else. Sure, the film benefits from the presence of Oscar-winner Eric Roberts in a supporting role and it's better-made than any film of this type ought to be, but the meta jokes get increasingly tiresome, and it ends up being too silly to really be all that visceral or disturbing. It's intermittently effective thanks to Dieter Laser's villainous performance, but there will surely be few wishing for another one.
