12 Awful 2015 Horror Movies To Avoid This Halloween

2. Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension

The hit horror franchise returns for its purportedly final entry, a 3D outing this time around that squanders its enormous potential to finally give audiences closure on all those lingering questions. Instead, The Ghost Dimension is mostly business as usual, recycling plot points and tropes from the previous films, all while the 3D gimmick adds little to proceedings and in fact drains away a lot of the suspense. Even when the film gives answers, they're both predictable and unsatisfying, and most insulting of all is that the film only dares to set up more sequels should this one actually make decent bank. It's the filmmakers and Paramount blatantly flipping the bird at the audience, that the series they've poured so much money into watching ends (?) on a stupid cliffhanger that resolves nothing. Given how frequently horror franchises have nickel-and-dimed audiences, this shouldn't be too surprising, but it's infuriating all the same. You might be tempted to go see it as it's the "last" one, but save your money: there's no satisfying resolution to be found here, just disappointment and even outrage.
