12 Awful 2015 Horror Movies To Avoid This Halloween

1. The Gallows

The one major positive to The Gallows? It's only 81 minutes long. This is easily the worst theatrically-released horror movie of the year so far, an incredibly lame found footage snooze-fest suffering from irritating visuals (the camera is flung around so much it's hard to tell what's going on half the time), bad acting, terrible dialogue, and most egregiously a basic lack of atmosphere or scares. Oh, and the inevitable plot twist blows, too. Somehow enough people paid to see it that it grossed $38.2 million against a mere $100,000 budget, so despite the almost universally negative reviews, a sequel seems pretty damn likely. Someone, somewhere, somehow must like this film, but for the love of God, don't subject yourself and others to it this All Hallows' Eve. Which 2015 horror movies have earned your hatred so far?
