12 Awful Films DCEU Actors Want You To Forget

11. Zachary Levi - Alvin And The Chipmunks: The Squeakuel

Shazam surprised everyone with its impressive showing at the box office and the flick’s easy charm which, along with some slick and inventive action, soon won over critics alongside audiences. Critical to the flick’s success was the presence of former Chuck star Zachary Levi, a star who had trouble breaking into mainstream movie success despite his consistent popularity on the small screen.

Maybe it’s the actor’s choice of projects that is the problem. After all, Levi chose a main role in 2009’s Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeakuel a full two years after the first film had been decimated by critics.

The inexplicable career move saw the actor appear in one of the year’s most-maligned releases, stalling any chance at a starring role until—well, whenever crowds were able to get the titular creature’s interminably screechy voices out of their heads.
