12 Awful Films DCEU Actors Want You To Forget

9. Jason Momoa - Conan The Barbarian

Henry Cavill Hellraiser

Despite the relatively impressive pre-DCEU career of everyone’s favourite laidback surfer dude/ sea-based superhero Aquaman—he was in Game of Thrones, for god’s sake!—there are nonetheless a few skeletons stuck in Mr. Momoa’s closet, and ironically they’re also of the R-rated 2011-debuting fantasy franchise variety.

Which is a bizarrely specific niche to carve out, really.

Yes, 2011 saw the start of George R.R. Martin’s critically adored megahit on HBO, but earlier the same year Momoa starred in the title role of this ill-fated remake of Arnie’s cheesy fantasy adventure films. Gory, dark, and terminally boring, the rebooted Conan franchise flopped hard, doomed to be forgotten until the venerable Khal Drogo got another shot at blockbuster stardom almost a decade later.
