12 Awful Films DCEU Actors Want You To Forget
5. Jesse Eisenberg - 30 Minutes Or Less
What skeletons could we possible pull from the closet of beloved indie kid Jesse Eisenberg, you ask? Fair question—from his earliest roles in 2005’s The Squid and the Whale to sleeper successes like Zombieland and eventual superstardom in David Fincher’s superb Social Network, the eventual Lex Luthor has proven himself a versatile screen presence capable of muted character studies, goofy comedy, big budget blockbusters, and everything else between.
Hell, many fans would single out his appearance in Man of Steel as the closest thing to an embarrassing role in his back catalogue.
And those people have never seen 2011’s wildly misjudged 30 Minutes or Less, an expensive action comedy flop which took its premise from a tragic true story which ended with an innocent man’s murder—solid start—before pairing Eisenberg with disgraced comic Aziz Ansari for an unfunny thriller which mistook volume for humour.
