7. Inhumans As Part Of Phase Three
While the majority of the MCU’s TV shows are criminally underrated and under utilised, there is one that genuinely deserves to be forgotten. ABC’s Inhumans took a group of fascinating characters, and turned them into something boring, with frankly shocking production values.
Black Bolt, a peer of the likes of Mister Fantastic, Professor X, Doctor Strange, and Iron Man in the comics, was reduced for much of thes series to a lost and wandering idiot capable of nothing on his own. The show took a classic part of Marvel comics lore, and completely ruined it.
The original vision of the Inhuman race’s introduction to the MCU was phase three movie. Perhaps this way, Marvel Studios could have given the people of Attilan a story, casting, and showing that they deserved. The movie that could have shown Black Bolt for the incredible character that he is was supposed to be released in November 2018, but instead we had to sit though the worst thing the MCU has ever put out.
Agents of SHIELD has shown that the Inhumans can be portrayed in a compelling and fascinating way, just imagine what what could have been with a full movie franchise.
