12 Bafflingly High 2016 IMDb Scores You Will Not Believe
1. Boyka: Undisputed
IMDb Rating: 9.4
What was your favourite film of 2016? Was it Arrival, the masterful sci-fi movie that earned 8.3 on IMDb? Or how about La La Land, the acclaimed musical with Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, which garnered a healthy 8.9 rating.
They’re all losers compared to the might of Boyka: Undisputed, the fourth chapter in the Undisputed franchise, which earned 9.4 this year. The series began as a Wesley Snipes vehicle back in 2002, before heading straight to DVD and becoming a cult sensation thanks to great fight scenes, and the charisma of Scott Adkins as martial arts champion Bokya.
The fourth entry is more of the same, meaning it’s never less than a fun action movie. Even the biggest fans of the series would have to admit 9.4 is a touch excessive. Still, at least Adkins can proudly proclaim his film is ranked higher than Manchester By The Sea; the fight scenes are way better too.
