12 Bafflingly High 2017 IMDB Scores You Will Not Believe

1. Wonder (8.1)

Wonder Jacob Tremblay
Lionsgate

Wonder is a sweet, entertaining drama about a boy learning to live with his facial deformity, with solid performances from Jacob Tremblay, Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson, but if IMDB is taken at face value, it's better than Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Wonder Woman, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Baby Driver, War for the Planet of the Apes, John Wick: Chapter Two and Logan Lucky among others, while sharing the same score as Thor: Ragnarok.

Sure, Wonder has a much smaller vote count than any of those movies, but still, it's a modest, enjoyable film with a nice message for kids, but not exactly something that sticks in the mind or is anything more than an efficient, well-acted film.

The Score It Deserves: The critics were totally on the money with their 7.1 score. It's a good film, just not worthy of potentially landing a place in the IMDB Top 250 in the future.

Which of these alarmingly high IMDB scores shocked you the most? Shout them out in the comments!

Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes). General video game, TV and film nut. Occasional sports fan. Full time loon.
