12 Bafflingly High 2017 IMDB Scores You Will Not Believe

2. Beauty & The Beast (7.3)

Beauty And The Beast
Disney

The live-action Beauty and the Beast is in no way a bad film: in fact, it's stylish and fun for good chunks of its run-time, but also dragged down by a painfully excessive runtime (clocking in 45 minutes longer than the classic 1991 animation), hit-and-miss execution of classic songs, and Emma Watson's horrendously auto-tuned singing voice.

The most surprising thing about the film's 7.3 score is that it's not that far away from the animation's 8.0, yet the chasm of quality between the two is much, much wider than that.

The Score It Deserves: It's a quintessential three-star movie, so 6.0. Nothing to debate here.

Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes). General video game, TV and film nut. Occasional sports fan. Full time loon.
