12 Bafflingly High 2018 IMDB Scores You Will Not Believe

6. Hunter Killer (6.8)

Considering that this submarine thriller bombed at the box office and uh, sank without a trace, you probably haven't seen it and therefore aren't aware of just how egregious its 6.8 score actually is.

An hilariously lousy, penny-pinching blockbuster with a mostly disengaged yet oddly enviable cast sleepwalking their way through the hackneyed dialogue, Hunter Killer lacks the suspense, filmmaking craft or basic enthusiasm necessary to entertain.

While it's possible that ironic viewing is giving its score a slight boost, this isn't typically something that influences IMDB scores all that much, considering the general public's lack of interest in so-bad-it's-good entertainment.

As such, we're left to assume that, somehow, the mainstream genuinely thought this wretchedly low-fi tentpole was actually...good?

The Score It Deserves: Even with a +1 for irony's sake, this is a wildly overlong slog of a film that doesn't even have a hammy Gerard Butler performance going for it as he plays the part oddly straight. 4.0 at a stretch.
