The zombie sub-genre of horror is something that has seen its fair share of popularity. Thanks to the likes of The Walking Dead, we saw the genre hit new heights, and new lows. Zombie movies have been being pumped out like crazy, with most offering nothing new. Train To Busan not only breathes a breath of fresh air into the genre, but it's also one of the best zombie movies made of all time.

Instead of taking place in an apocalyptic city, Train To Busan takes place on, well, a train. Zombies start to take over the high speed train, trapping all the survivors with little room to move. Packed like sardines, they find themselves overwhelmingly outnumbered.

Train To Busan does an amazing job not just simply being a zombie movie, but building the universe it's set in. Characters are able to be fleshed out instead of showing up for five minutes only to be graphically pulled apart by zombies. You start to grow to love and even hate some of the characters as their motivations and personalities are developed.

It's a low budget South Korean film, only costing $8.5 million to make, that trumps everything Hollywood has been churning out. To put that into perspective, World War Z cost upwards of $269 million to make. Woof.
