12 Best Movies To Netflix And Chill To

3. Lawrence Of Arabia (1962)

You may not have seen it, but Lawrence Of Arabia is considered by many to be one of the best films of all time. Directed by David Lean, the epic historical movie is based on the life of T.E. Lawrence, following him during his exploits in the Arabian Peninsula during World War I. Lawrence Of Arabia won seven Academy Awards upon its release, including Best Director and Best Picture. The film regularly tops critics lists of the greatest movies ever made and legendary filmmakers as acclaimed as Martin Scorsese, Ridley Scott and Sam Peckinpah count it among their favourites of all time. Steven Spielberg even cites Lawrence Of Arabia as the film that convinced him to become a director in the first place.

All impressive credentials, I'm sure you agree, but how many of you actually added Lawrence Of Arabia to your Netflix queue? Like Seven Samurai and Citizen Kane, Lean's epic is one of those classic films everyone says you should have seen. The problem though is that Lawrence Of Arabia clocks in at a butt-numbing 227 minutes. Your best bet is to play the film in the background while you make the beast with two backs. That way, you can technically say you've seen Lawrence Of Arabia if anyone asks and the four hour running time will give you plenty of time to maximise your chill.
