There's something about horror films that inevitably leads to fornication, whether it's fear that gets the blood pumping or the need to seek comfort in others. Vampire movies are particularly sensual, often featuring forbidden romances that thrill as much as scare.

Those looking for an alternative to the cookie cutter characters of Twilight should seek out Let The Right One In next time they want to bump uglies. The story of a twelve year old Swedish boy who becomes dangerously close to a vampire child may not sound particularly frightening, but Let The Right One In has a disturbingly creepy atmosphere that crawls under your skin within the first few scenes.

Sure, the film is subtitled, but even if you're too busy chilling to follow the story, Tomas Alfredson's impressive visuals will pull your attention back once you're finished. Bonus points if you can somehow make the title of this film work for you without coming off as entitled or sleazy. If you succeed, then you're a better man than I.
