12 Brilliant Movie Scenes When Actors Weren't Acting

Macaluay Culkin has a lot to be thankful to Home Alone for: it made him a household name and a staple part of every household's Christmas ritual and he got to live out the dreams of millions of imaginative kids around the world.

It was also a double-edged sword, though, given what happened later in his career, and he has a very specific reminder of the film, permanently marked on his body thanks to some over-zealous "acting" by Joe Pesci.

Culkin revealed years after the film's release that in the scene that sees the Wet Bandits catch him and hang him on a door hook, Pesci actually bit him:

"In one of the scenes, they hang me up on the closet door or something and he says, "I'm gonna bite each one of your fingers off, one at a time. I'm a little nine-year-old boy and he's going around biting (my finger). I still have the scar. I didn't even realise until recently."I got really mad at him. I was like, 'I don't care how many Oscars you have, or whatever - don't go biting a nine-year-old! What the heck's wrong with you?'"
