12 British Actors We'd Love to See In Marvel Movies (And Who They Could Play)

1. Jeremy Irons (Doctor Doom)

ironsdoom For me, this is a touchy subject! Doctor Doom is my favourite comic book character of all and he was brutally butchered by Julian McMahon in the Fantastic Four movies of 2005 and 2007. Therefore, in the upcoming reboot, Fox simply must get him right. Or they'll have me to answer to. He is, arguably, the most iconic comic book villain of all time and was reduced to a feeble wimp in the previous attempts, so the next actor to play him must be imposing, authoritative and formidable. Jeremy Irons, in my opinion, fits the bill and is therefore the man for the job. Some people may say he's a little old, but he certainly doesn't look his age and I think I'd rather see Doom portrayed as a man of experience anyway. Irons has the villain thing down to a tee, having portrayed Simon Gruber excellently in Die Hard With A Vengeance, and has Oscars and Golden Globes to his name - that is the calibre of actor who is required to portray the arrogant, powerful, master of mystics and technology; Victor Von Doom. Do you agree with this list? Which other British actors would you like to see in Marvel movies? Who would they play? Let us know in the comments box below!
