7. Joe Brody - Godzilla

Bryan Cranston's first major post-Breaking Bad role is set to be a doozy, as he plays one of the protagonists in Gareth Edwards' hugely anticipated, very promising Godzilla reboot. Cranston plays Joseph Brody, a nuclear physicist who, according to Cranston's own words, "discovers an anomaly in some sonar, signalings, patterns, and is just starting an investigation when all hell breaks loose." In the trailer, we can see that Cranston has a healthy skepticism of the government, believing that they've been covering up Godzilla's existence, and that makes him a pretty ripe target for a grisly death. Edwards will no doubt milk the relationship between Joe and his son Ford (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) to give him an emotional send-off if he dies. Given that Cranston probably won't be doing much fighting in the movie, his death in act three just might give Ford the motivation needed to bring the monster down once and for all. That said, Cranston's anguished expression and a clip of him being separated from his wife Sandra (Juliette Binoche) can't help but make us think she might be on the chopping block also.
