10. Transmetropolitan
Transmetropolitan was first announced during the comic's heyday in the late 90's. The late Pete Postlethwaite was reported by Coming Attractions as Warren Ellis's first choice for the role of cyber-gonzo-journalist Spider Jerusalem. Tim Roth was also suggested as a possible candidate, as well as Patrick Stewart, whose production company Flying Freehold attempted to option the rights in 2003. One of the problems with Transmet from a studio perspective is that the Blade Runner-esque, cyberpunk setting could be prohibitively expensive to put on screen, especially with a niche property, that isn't exactly well known outside of its small but passionate fanbase. Given that Ellis himself has said the movie isn't happening it seems highly unlikely there will be a Spider Jerusalem film any time soon. The entertainment world is a strange ever-shifting sea though, so there's nothing to say the property wont find its way onto TV or film as live-action or animation one day.
