12 Comic Book Movie Characters Screwed By Their Adaptation

11. Jonah Hex (Jonah Hex)

The best way to describe the comic book version of Jonah Hex is that he's like Batman if Batman was from the Wild West and was prepared to shoot people. He's a vigilant, a dark anti-hero of sorts, who is highly skilled in marksmanship, hand-to-hand combat and tracking, and he's in peak physical condition. Indeed, such is the craziness of comic books that he has crossed paths with Batman before and the two generally appear to be very evenly matched. However, in the movie version, he was given a completely random superpower for no reason. He could bring the dead back to life - at least while he was touching them - in order to get information for them. Ridiculous, pointless and character-ruining in one foul swoop. It was a stupid idea and it essentially made the whole movie as much of a farcical Wild West flop as€ well€ Wild Wild West.
