12 Comic Book Movie Characters Who Deserved Better Deaths
2. Harry Osborn (Spider-Man 3)
James Franco's Harry Osborn was the best friend of Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy - that was until he discovered that Parker was involved in his father's death. He donned the Green Goblin gear and attacked his buddy and it seemed as though their friendship was over - but then Spider-Man found himself in a two-on-one fight against both Sandman and Venom. Harry used the Green Goblin gear to assist his friend in the fight, but was brutally stabbed from behind by Venom. He didn't die immediately, but he succumbed to his injuries eventually and died with Parker and Mary Jane Watson by his side. He might have been a villain temporarily, but he had his reasons and he was ultimately a brave ally to Spidey, so he didn't deserve to be killed so harshly. More to the point, nobody deserved to be killed by Topher Grace's awful version of Venom. Nobody.
