7. Chris Pine Is Finally Confirmed As Green Lantern
The Announcement: After months of speculation, it's finally confirmed that Chris Pine will indeed be playing Hal Jordan aka Green Lantern for Warner Bros' 2020 reboot, as part of their DC Cinematic Universe. Why It'd Be Awesome: Pine's a fine actor, and it would push Warner one step further towards erasing all those painful memories of the 2011 Ryan Reynolds-starring effort. All fans need is one image of Pine in the new Lantern outfit...which hopefully won't be completely CGI this time. How Likely Is It?: 7/10. Again, Warner will want to take advantage of Marvel Studios' absence this year, and with the rumour mill running wild over the last week that Pine may appear at the Con, it actually seems like one of the more plausible possible announcements.
