This movie was rumoured for years and, until recently, it was nothing but a rumour - but then we saw that there was actually some test footage produced and realised that it was actually extremely close to happening. Okay, so saying we're thankful that this never happened is probably incorrect, as the reaction to the test footage was mostly positive and Ryan Reynolds is generally perceived as the ideal man to portray a true depiction of Deadpool in a movie. But just sit and think about it for a moment. Could you actually sit through two hours of it? Ryan Reynolds is a big character on his own. He's over the top and loud - and exaggerating those traits to portray the famous merc with a mouth would probably have ended up being completely overbearing. Plus, there's the fact that Deadpool breaks the fourth wall to speak to his audience. Sure, it's a fun and unique concept - especially in movie terms - but would it really have worked? We're unsure, if we're being honest. In a nutshell, it's probably for the best that it never happened.
