12 Embarrassing Early Film Roles Actors Need You To Forget

3. Daniel Craig - A Kid In King Arthur's Court

badrebel.wordpress.combadrebel.wordpress.comDaniel Craig is now a very refined and attractive man who, if rumours are true, can take any Aston Martin road car he pleases directly from the factory at any time and keep. A gift given to every actor to play the original man of mystery and british heartthrob James Bond, most known for being the spy who loved me and something about sending birthday cards from Russia. Back in the cold and unforgiving world of 1995, however, Craig was simply another actor trying to make it big. Along the way he managed to land a part in A Kid In King Arthur's Court, a Disney film based around that old Mark Twain novel A Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur's Court (which we agree is not quite as pithy.) The film itself is dire. A 6% rating on Rotten Tomatoes is not the lowest on the site, but it's much too close for comfort. The only really redeeming features the film has is the inclusion of the then fairly unknown Kate Winslet and Daniel Craig. If only they were stars then, perhaps the film would have done slightly better than absolute failure. If we're lucky, a remake with Daniel Craig now taking the role of King Arthur could well be a reboot nobody ever wanted or asked for, but we got anyway...
