12 Essential Movies Still To Come In 2019

11. A Beautiful Day In The Neighbourhood

It Chapter 2
Sony

Directed by Marielle Heller (Can You Ever Forgive Me?), written by Noah Harpster (Transparent) and his writing partner Micah Fitzerman-Blue and starring Tom Hanks (a lot of very great movies), A Beautiful Day In The Neighbourhood looks to be one of the feelgood movies of 2019.

The film details the story of how an Esquire journalist Lloyd Vogel (Matthew Rhys) begrudgingly writes a profile piece on the beloved television icon Fred Rogers, played by Hanks. The film debuts at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) before its release in November and will look at how the cynical Vogel's perspective on life changes after encountering the real life icon to many.

Whether you grew up watching and loving Mister Rodgers' Into The Neighbourhood or simply want an easy to handle, feelgood cinema experience with what is likely to be a great performance from Hanks; this movie is one to check out.

Rhys McGinley hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
