4. "Whore's Gold" - Unforgiven
"Whore's Gold" sounds like a western exploitation film about a wronged prostitute who saddles up and sets out to get revenge on the scumbags who raped and left her for dead, and ohmyGod I've just made up an awesome movie idea - I called it first! In actuality, this was briefly going to serve as the title of Clint Eastwood's western masterpiece Unforgiven. The original script title, as written by David Webb Peoples, was "The Cut-Whore Killings," which morphed into "The William Munny Killings," and finally "Whore's Gold." Presumably Eastwood thought that final title was far too trashy, and eventually found the perfect one in the brilliant "Unforgiven."
