12 Famous Movies That Were Almost Given Absurdly Bad Titles

6. "Anhedonia" - Annie Hall

Annie Hall Whereas the title Annie Hall conjures up feelings of warmth and optimism, the title "Anhedonia" feels cold and clinical, almost as if it were a scientific term for somebody with the inability to feel pleasure. Oh, wait: that's exactly what the word means, and we're so glad that Allen didn't opt to use it in the end, because not only is it pretentious, it's totally wrong for the movie. Annie Hall was - at one point - a murder mystery coupled with a romance, you see, and I suppose the title made more sense before Allen made the decision to remove the murder aspects and focus purely on the romance. Good call, Woody. Good freakin' call.
