4. Snake Eyes

Snake Eyes - the G.I Joe spin-off starring the titular character - has been in development for years, and a lot of fans just kinda assumed it was never going to happen. After all, the original property itself wasn't exactly a runaway success, but Paramount have pushed ahead with the project, which serves as an origin story for one of the most popular G.I. Joe members.

Henry Golding, best known for playing casanovas in flicks like Last Christmas and A Simple Favour, has been cast as Snake Eyes, and revealed the first look of him in costume on his Instagram (on his birthday, no less). Golding is a strong performer, so hopefully he'll be able to inject some life into the spin-off. And, with The Raid's Iko Uwais and the always-amazing Samantha Weaving also cast, there is enough talent here to at least be cautiously optimistic about the project.

It's set for release this October, so expect to see more official images and a trailer soon.
