3. Boss Level

Films about time loops ironically never get old, and everything from classics like Groundhog Day to even inventive horror movies like Happy Death Day have made good use of the concept. Boss level, the latest film from Joe Carnahan, is looking to push this even further, and give the most action-focused spin on the gimmick yet.

In this video game-inspired flick, Frank Grillo is a special forces officer roped into a shady government experiment that sees him forced to relive the day of his death over and over again. Starring opposite him, no doubt as the villain, is Mel Gibson's Colonel Clive Ventor. The two can be seen in the first image from the project, which was exclusively revealed by WarParty Films via Collider.

Carnahan has always produced pulpy, exciting action movies, and it's difficult to make a concept like this uninteresting.
