Spike Lee, after a decade or so of near obscurity, came back in a big way with BlacKkKlansman, an extremely contemporary movie that netted the director a bunch of award nominations and critical praise, as well as his biggest box-office haul in a long while.

For his next joint, the acclaimed filmmaker is the latest to team up with Netflix to deliver Da 5 Bloods, covering the lives of a group of men returning home from the Vietnam War.

The first image, courtesy of Sight and Sound, comes from the set and shows Lee on location with the Vietnamese cast. Considering the quality of his previous film, the volatility of the subject matter, and an all-star cast including Chadwick Boseman, Giancarlo Esposito and Jean Reno, Da 5 Bloods is no doubt going to be much-watch cinema.
