12 Giant Plot-Holes You Didn’t Notice In 2015’s Biggest Movies

3. "Fine, I'll Do It Myself" - Avengers: Age Of Ultron

Adding a stinger to the end of Age Of Ultron to tease Infinity Wars made sense for the long-term aspirations of the MCU, but it would have been nice if it had actually made sense. In that post-credits moment, Thanos addresses the camera in mock exasperation, saying he will "do it himself", as if his latest underling has failed him. But what is he referring to exactly? He had no part in the events of Age Of Ultron. He wasn't controlling Ultron to get the Infinity Gem that ends up powering Vision (or he would presumably have been outraged at his use of it). So, who is Thanos talking to exactly? Who has failed him? Has he completely lost the plot?
