12 Great Moments In Mediocre Comic Book Movies
10. Batman's Appearance In Suicide Squad
While the DCEU is littered with poor movies that fell way short of what they could have been, they are near masterpieces compared to David Ayer's Suicide Squad. Taking the popular team of villains from the comics should have led to an easy win for DC, but like most of their early movies, it just didn't work.
From the cringe-worthy opening montage to the story line that made very little sense, Suicide Squad was a mess. There was however, one character that made it's failure a little easier to swallow, and it wasn't the Joker's girlfriend who inspired just about every Halloween costume in 2016.
During the exposition that was Deadshot's back story, we saw him come face to face with the caped crusader himself. At this point, we had only seen Ben Affleck's Batman once in the DCEU, so this was a welcome surprise. We also got to see Bruce Wayne interact with both Harley Quinn and the Joker. Did it render Jared Leto's take on Mr J even slightly watchable? Absolutely not. But it was certainly the best moment of a bad, bad movie.
